Greetings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus. I am Mathur Bhuriya. I belong to Anthervelia a Bhil Adivasi village in Jabua District, Madhya Pradesh. Our Bhil Adivasis are notorious in waylaying, plundering and robbing people. They often fight among themselves with bows and arrows. They worship various gods and goddesses. They seek the help of magicians who are the village poogaries, whenever they fall sick. Often they are afflicted by evil spirits. They lead a sinful life; not recognizing what they do is sinful. I was also subject to all these sinful ways. As days passed I was afflicted by a strange sickness. I felt as if my whole body was burning. I sought the help of magicians to overcome this problem. They could not help me. Then I went to doctors and spent a lot of money. No one could deliver me from this trouble. 

When things were like this, I heard that people were being healed in a prayer meeting held in a nearby village by name Salamoudha. I went to that meeting. The evangelist told me about Lord Jesus. Then he prayed for the sick people applying oil on the head. When the evangelist applied oil on my head and prayed for me, I received complete deliverance from my problem. I was convinced that Jesus was the true  God. I continued to attend the worship service. I received complete deliverance from my sins: I felt a divine peace in my heart.

 Then I had a great desire to serve the Lord. I approached Shalom evangelists and helped them in their Jesus Film ministry. Once I was sent to Ahmedabad to attend a crusade by Roger Houdsman. There in that crusade I was filled with the Holy Spirit. Then I joined the Shalom ministry to under go a training program. Now I am ministering to my own people as a full time Shalom evangelist in and around Amabial. I and my wife Jeya are both doing God’s ministry. Please pray for us.

Note: Bro. Mathur Bhuriya is a dynamic evangelist. He has started 20 worshiping centres extending up to 40 km around Amabial. He has raised 8 local evangelists through his ministry.

EVANGELIST RATTAN MAVI-  GUJARAT

My name is Rattan Mavi. I am a Bhil Adivasi born in Borkeda village, Dahod district, Gujarat. We had never heard the name of Jesus even once in my village. I had much faith in various gods and goddesses. All my family members worshiped various idols with much enthusiasm. Once in a year we made animal sacrifices for our gods.

 Our family was responsible for conducting all religious festivals in our village. But we had no peace in our heart and mind. When Deepavali or Holi comes my mother would be afflicted by evil spirits. She was almost mad and we did not know what to do. My family circumstances compelled me to seek the true god. My life was also full of sin. I had no peace of mind. I was living in utter darkness. I often fell ill and spent almost Rs.5000/- every year to get relief from my sickness.

 One day I heard about the prayer meeting held in a nearly village by name Liler. I heard that people experienced many miracles at the prayer meeting. I started attending these prayer meeting. Truly a great change came over me. The living words of a living God touched my life. I began to read the Bible. My spiritual eyes were opened. I felt that I was a great sinner. I cried to Lord Jesus to forgive my sins. Jesus cleansed my soul with his precious blood.

 One day I was attending night meeting. At that time God anointed me with his Holy Spirit. His mighty power strengthened my body, mind and soul. I became a new man. All my weaknesses left me. I joined a short time shalom ministry training program which helped me to gain more Bible knowledge. In 1997 I had an opportunity to take part in a power ministry program conducted by ‘Jesus Calls’ in Indore. God gave me His gifts to minister among my tribal people.

 I surrended my life to Lord Jesus. My only desire and vision is to lead my people who are enslaved by the power of darkness to Lord Jesus and show them the way to Heaven. Please pray me and my family.

MR.BATHAR BARIA - A LEADING LOCAL EVANGELIST-RAJASTHAN

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I am Bathar Baria a Bhil Adivasi. My native village is Goika in Banswada District, Rajasthan. My parents are Catholic Christians. Yet I did not know anything about Jesus Christ; nor did I know what a true Christian life is. I was leading a dirty life, drinking arrack, telling lies and spending time in the company of wicked friends.

 Suddenly my mother fell ill. We took her to the doctors and spent a lot of money but of no use. We were so desperate that we did not know what to do. At that time we heard that some meeting was going on in one of the houses, where they preach about Lord Jesus Christ. We were told if we attend the meeting my mother would receive miraculous cure. So my mother started attending the meeting. Soon she became well. She also accepted Jesus as her personal saviour. But I was worshipping mother Mary and neglected Jesus. I never understood God had a definite plan for me. One day I suffered from severe headache. I approached magicians just as other people of my tribe do. Nothing happened. Mother Mary whom I worshipped did not help me. Finally I was forced to seek the help of a Shalom missionary. When he prayed for me I was completed relieved of my pain. I was extremely happy. I left the bad company of my friends and began to read the Bible. Shalom missionary helped me to grow in Christ.

 God gave me a deep desire to serve him faithfully. I joined Shalom Bible School and completed a short time training program. There I received the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Now I am serving the Lord from a place called Chandragoota in Banswada District. In 1997 I participated in ‘Jesus Calls’ power ministry program held in Indore and received the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Before I became a Christian my wife conceived three times and the child died immediately after birth all the three times. But now God has broken the curses and blessed me with three girl children. My wife Ramila Ben is also doing God’s ministry along with me. Please pray for my family and my ministry among my own tribe.

 Note:  Mr.Bathar Baria is instrumental in starting 30 village churches and God is using him mightily among the Bhil Adivasis, manifesting His glory with signs and wonders. He has raised more than 30 local evangelists through his ministry. All praise and glory be to our God Almighty.
