Vishalpur Village Church ^

Vishalpur is a village in Jabuva district in Madhya Pradesh.  It is situated in the interior of a forest at the border of Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.  The people here are addicted to alcohol and indulge in theft.  They are unaware of Christ.  One Malabaitikiya Puriya’s wife Hakriben was bed-ridden and more than Rs.15000 had been spent for her treatment for months.  They also consulted magicians.  But she did not get cured.  She came to know about Christ through her daughter Santhiben who had been to a neighbouring village, Kachaldara.  Bro.Mathurbai, a native evangelist was conducting service and Hakriben attended it.  At the prayer time Hakreben was completely cured.  From that day onwards, she accepted  Jesus as the saviour.  She used to  attend the prayer service every week and pray for the salvation of her husband who was an alcoholic.  God  saved him also.  They made arrangements for prayer services to be held in their house by the native evangelist.  For the past 3 years, it has been going on.  In their village, all families have become believers.  The people in the neighbouring villages also are flocking to attend the services.  One, Malabai,  has given her land as an offering.  A church has been built there.  Bro. Mathur Puriya has taken the responsibility of the church.  The dedication of this village church was done by Father Berchmans on17-03-2003
