No drinking water facility was available in
most of the villages of all the three states where the Bhil
people live, particularly, Dahod (Gujarat), Banswada (Rajasthan)
and Jabua (Madhya Pradesh). Hand-pumps which were erected with
the Government aid did not provide them with water. Soon many
of them got damaged and left uncared-for. Once, we visited
Debair village in Jabua in Madhya Pradesh in order to conduct a
monsoon meeting. The water the village people had given us was
very cold. We enquired of them from where they had fetched the
water. The reply was that they had travelled through a rugged
and craggy path of roughly one kilometer. At last, they dug
out a small hole at the bank of a river with dirty and muddy
water. They placed a bottleguard shell into the hole and took
out water and thus they fetched the water. As soon as it was
poured into a glass tumbler, we were taken aback to see a lot of
germs circling inside the tumbler. During summer season, to
obtain one kudam of potable water, they had to pass through a
very long distance. The condition of the goats , bulls and
other domestic animals was still worse.
One day, by the grace of God, we received a
phone-call from CBN Organisation. Dr. Paul Dinakaran (Jesus
Calls) had introduced our Shalom Ministry to the CBN
Organisation, while he was interacting with the Director of the
organization about our ministry. At once, they came forward to
serve these villages of Bhil adivasi people.
Hence, within a past few years, with the
help of CBN Organisation, till date, hand-pumps have been
erected in 106 villages and drinkable water facility has been
made available. Having seen the prayers and faith of the Bhil
believers CBN people praised the Lord. The Lord commands good
potable water in all the villages so that no hand-pump does ever
fail to provide them with water. Praise the Lord for the
partnership of ours with the CBN Organisation.
